The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women’s golf team began its 2025-26 season at the College of Saint Benedict Invitational, held at Blackberry Ridge Golf Course in Sartell, Minnesota. The event featured 13 teams from across the Midwest. UW-Eau Claire finished sixth overall, ending the tournament with a combined score of 81 strokes over par. Macalester College won the tournament with a total of 41 strokes over par.
Elizabeth Hermann led the Blugolds, shooting a career-low round of 73 on Sunday. Her +1 score in the second round included three birdies, four bogeys, and 11 pars. Hermann tied for sixth place overall with a two-round total of 13 over par.
Lily Kaminski recorded the team’s second lowest round of the weekend, posting a 78 on Sunday. She had one birdie during her round and finished tied for 31st at 12 over par. Tally Schlindwein made her debut for UW-Eau Claire and registered the team’s second lowest combined score for the tournament, finishing tied for 25th after an opening round nine over par.
The Blugolds will host their home tournament, the Georgianni Invitational, on September 6 and 7. The first round will be played at Lake Wissota Golf Course and the second round at Eau Claire Golf & Country Club. Tee times are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday and at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.
